Crossett Senior Relays, Crossett, 3/13/08 … Pine Bluff gall= oped to a 145-125-113 win in the 7-team Girls meet over El Dorado and Monticello= as Magnolia won the 8-team Boys meet by 154-133-85 over Camden Fairview and El Dorado. Chastity Hay (El Dorado) was a triple winner in the HJ (‘5 ‘3”), LJ (17’ 3’) and TJ (35’ 10”) while teammate Alecia Williams took a double win in the 100/200m in 13.11 and 25.88. LaBrisha Buggs (El Dor= ado) posted a nice 17’ 2” for 2^nd in the LJ and 35’ 2” for 3^rd in the TJ. Sharlica Sargent (Magnolia) was 2nd in the TJ at 35’ 3”. Kanesha Hicks (Pine Buff) sped to the 300mh win in 48.95 as the Fill= ies took the 4 x 1 relay in 50.71. Jamia Woodard (Monticello) hurled the disk 108’ 5” for t= he win. Prescott Haynes/Wolf Relays, Presc= ott, 3/13/08 …. In a shortened meet where the field events were completed but limited running events were able to go off, Nashville won the 13-team Girls meet by 105-74-67 over DeQueen and Ashdown while DeQueen won = the 16-team Boys meet over Nashville and host Prescott by 56-41.87-40.24. David Reese (Genoa Central) cleared 13’ 8” to win the Boys PV while Kyle Atkins won the Boys 100m in 11.32 and Jerry White (Mineral Springs) leaped 6’ 2” to win the= HJ. Athletic Connection Joe Roberts Invitational, Springdale, 3/14/08 ….Bentonville pummeled the 6-team Girls meet in a 213-145 win over Gr= een Forest while Rogers cruised to victory over rival Bentonville in the 8-team Boys meet by 219-148. Taylor = Stockemer (Van Buren) led all scorers with 41.25 poin= ts including wins in the 100m, 200m and LJ. Kayla Middleb= rook (Bentonville) led the Girls at 32.5 with a triple sprint win in the 100-200-400m and a leg on the winning 4x4 relay. Middlebrook posted swift early times with a 12.72 for 100m and 25.09 in the 200m; Stockemer posted a nice 22.08 for 200m. Jenna Sheppard (Bentonville) hurdled to a very nice 47.90 in the Girls 300mh while Lindsey Hilliard (Van Buren) sailed 17’ 3.75” to win the Girls LJ. Teammates Natalie Guerrero and Courtney Efurd of Rogers finished 1-2 in the Girls 1600m at 5:19/5:21 while Katie Dalton (Bentonville) won the 3200m in 11:54. The Rogers Boys were not to be outdone by the Lady Mounties as Camer= on Efurd and Jordan Falls took 1-2 in the Boys 1600m at 4:26/4:28. Scrapper Relays, Nashville, 3/20/08 …. Nashville won = by 131-106-93 in the 14-team Girls meet over Idabel, OK and Ashdown and DeQueen took the 15-team Boys meet over Ashdown and Idabel by 107-91-90. Jasmine Ellis (Nashville) won the = 300mh in 47.81 and the TJ at 35’ 5.5” while teammate Jasleesa Jetton = won the 100m in a swift 12.85. Sharhonda Kelly (DeQueen) took the SP at 37’ 8” while Ja= mie Fleming hurled the discus 121’ 10”. Alric Solomon (Ashdown) took the B= oys 100m in a fast 10.89, David Reese (Genoa Central) vaulted 13’ 6”= ;, Marcus Witherspoon (Nashville) put the shot 54’ 6” and Roy Rich= ards (Lafayette County) won the discus at 158’ 3”. Latoya Marshal (Warren) took the double win in the 100m (12.43) and = HJ (5’ 1”) while Jamia Woodard (Monticello) won a field events dou= ble in the SP (36’ .5”) and Discus (108’ 0”). Kim Jackson (Monticello) won the 2= 00m in 26.57 and placed 2^nd in the 100m with a nice 12.68. Joy McQuay (Hamburg) won the LJ at 17’ 0” and Shanea Govan (Crossett) took= the TJ at 33’ 3”. Monticello took advantage of their home track= with a 169-153 win over Camden Fairview in the 6-team Girls meet while Fairview = took the 7-team Boys meet by 165-114 over Crossett who came from behind with a 2= ^nd place 4 x400m finish to sneak ahead of Watson Chapel and Monticello both at 111. Hometown girl Kim Jackso= n ran and jumped her way to the high point award with 43.5 points in winning the = 100m (13.02), 200m (26.79), 400m (61.69), anchor leg on the winning 4 x 400m team, 3rd in the = TJ and 4^th in the LJ. Ant= hony Phillips (Crossett) edged out Leotis Porchia (Camden Fairview) and Ty Ferre= ll (Monticello) by 27-25-23.5 with a win in the TJ (42’ 9”), 2nd in the LJ, 5^th in the 100m and two 2^nd place relay points. Black and Gold JH Relays, Bentonville, 3/27/08 …. Bentonv= ille Black won the 9-team Girls meet by 128-107-104 over Springdale Central and Rogers Elmwood as Fayetteville Ramay won the 11-team Boys meet over Fayetteville Woodland and Rogers Elmwood by 270-204-145. J.J. Mason (Central) won the Girls 100m in 13.54 and the 200m in 26.87. Taylor Estrada (Bentonville Gold) = won the Girls 800m in a nice 2:27.47 while Bailey Pearson (Bentonville Black) took the TJ at 32’ 10.5”. Pointer Relays, Van Buren, 3/28/08 ….On a cold, windy day Ft Smith Northside won by 152.5-124-116 over Rogers and Van Buren in the 8-team Girls meet while Rogers took the Boys win by 147-132-131.5 over Alma= and Ft. Smith Southside. Kenneth Roberts (Northside) led all scorers with 34.5 while two Lady Bears, Brittney May and Heather Estetter, tallied 22 each. Texarkana swept their home meet with a 164-121-69 win the 10-team Girls meet over Pine Bluff and Idabel, Ok and a 232-176-165 win in the 11-team Boys meet over Magnolia= and Pine Bluff. Torrium Cobb (Mag= nolia) ran fast 10.51 for 100m to edge Fred Rose (Texarkana) at 10.57 and Caltaviu= s Brown (El Dorado) in 10.77. Cobb al= so edged the field in the 200m at 22.13 with Brown in 2^nd at 22.32 = and Rose in 3^rd with the same time. Eddie Collin (Arkadelphia) won t= he HJ at 6’ 4” with Rashad Lacy (Texarkana) was 2^nd at = the same height. Termaine Henders= on (Prescott) took the TJ at 43’ 8” with Reynaldo Cunningham (El Dorado) going 43’ 4”. Rod Rose = won the 300mh in 41.75 and Texarkana sped to the 4 x1 relay win in 42.08. Kalebra Duke (Texarkana) won a clo= se 100m in the Girls meet by 12.35-12.38-12.48 over LaBrisha Buggs (El Dorado)= and Courtney Blair (Texarkana). Kayla Middlebrook (Bentonville) won the 200m/400m in 26.24 and 61.18 after finish= ing 2^nd to Maleaha Menifee (Fayetteville) in the 100m, each with the same time of 13.06. Katie Dal= ton (Bentonville) took a double distance win in the 1600m (5:32) and the 3200m (12:13). Jeanna Sheppard (Bentonville) won the 300mh in 51.40. Batesvi= lle won the 16-team Girls meet by 125.7-110.5-75 over Mountain Home and Vilonia= and host Heber Springs won the 14-team Boys meet over Vilonia and North Little = Rock by 158-155-151.   Heber B= oys led by 148-147 at the start of the 4 x4 and preserved the meet victory with= the relay win. Bentonville ra= ced to an easy 211-141-121 over Fayetteville and Rogers in the 7-team Girls meet while host Fayetteville edged defending 7A champion Rogers and Ft. Smith Southside by 168-162-133 in the Boys meet.= Fayetteville led Rogers by 135-128 with three running events remaini= ng and stretched the lead by 11 points by outscoring Rogers in the 200m by 16-= 5. Rogers piled on the points in winning the 3200m by 23-7 to bring the tally = to 158-156 in favor of Fayetteville with the 4 x 4 remaining. The Bulldogs protected their meet victory with a 4 x 4 win as Rogers could only manage 3^rd. Kayla Middlebrook (Bentonville was= a triple sprint winner in the 100m (12.53), 200m (26.55) and 400m (61.91). Cyclone Relays, Don CarnahanTrack, Russellville, 4/4/08…. Ft. Smith Northside bested the 11-team Girls field by 149-95-94 over North Little Rock and Lake Hamilton while Conway cruised to the win in the -17-te= am Boys meet over Alma and Lake Hamilton by 120-94.25-69.50. Kya McKinney (FS Northside) and te= ammate Brittney May both scored 25 while Ramon Stewart (North Little Rock) led the Boys at 24.5. McKinney won th= e 100m (12.91) in a close race over Kiara Vincent (North Little Rock, 12.94) and slipped by Lindsay Hilliard (Van Buren) to win the 200m by 26.50-26.60. May won both hurdles (100mh in 16.= 20; 300mh in 48.03) and joined McKinney on Northside’s winning 4x 1 and 4= x4 relay teams. Stewart won the = 100m over Derek Hellard (Alma) by 11.14-11.24 and beat out Luke Humphreys (Alma)= in the 200m by 22.20-22.50. Stephanie Foreman (Lake Hamilton) = posted an Arkansas All-Time Best List Top 10 mark as she cleared 12’ 6”= ; to win the PV. A trio of Boys ran under 10 flat in the 3200m led by Alex Tully= (LR Catholic) in 9:45.25 followed by Marcus Pearson (Conway) at 9:56.66 and Amos Gerber (Lake Hamilton) in 9:57.16. Chris Carter (Greenwood) won the 110mh in 15.61 and nipped Raskeem Oliver (FS Northside) by 40.52-40.82 to win the 300mh. Pine Bluff won the 4= x 4 in 3:29.70. Anthony Maltbia (Conway) heaved the shot 51’ 1” whi= le John White (Alma) hurled the discus 152’ 10”. Wildkitten Relays (7^th/= 8^th), El Dorado, 4/07/08 …… North Heights won a = pair of meets with a huge 227-87 win over El Dorado in the 6-team Girls meet and narrowly by 182-171 over Magnolia. S. Marshal (North Heights) won the Girls 100m (13.00), the 200m (27.= 80) and HJ (4’ 8”) while teammate S. Boone put the shot 35’ 10.5”. Colton Barnhart = won the Girls Discus with a nice 112’ 11” while North Heights put d= own a 54.05 to win the Girls 4x 100m. In Boys action, D. Flourney (North Height= s) edges out teammate C. Trotter in the 100m with a dead heat as both clocked 11.80. Magnolia won the 4x800= m in 9:00 and slipped by North Heights and Barton in the 4 x400m by 3:55.0-3:355.5-3:56.0. The LJ= saw four competitors sail past 17’ as Kelvinte Young (Magnolia) nipped Xa= vier Daris (Camden Fairview) both at 17’ 2”. Dominque Reed (Camden Fairview) ju= mped 17’ 1” and D. Springdale Cent= ral won a close 8-team Girls meet in this northwest Arkansas junior high showdo= wn over Bentonville Black and Rogers Elmwood by 116-110-103 while Fayetteville Ramay won easily over crosstown rival Woodland and Springdale Central by 154-105-92. JJ Mason (Central= ) won the Girls 100m, 200m (26.72) and 400m (64.31) as Bailey Pearson (Bentonvill= e) took the 100mh win in 15.58. In the 300mh, Jessica Boyd (Ramay) edged out B= ailey Pearson and Chani Wolf (Central) by 49.21-49.97-49.98. Anna Mitchell (Ramay) won a tight race in the 80m by 2:33.44-2:33.78-2:34.13 over Valerie Reina (Central) and Kelsye Wheelhouse (Bentonville). Reina had won the 1600m over Dani = David (Elmwood) by 5:34-5:41. Ashley Randels (Elmwood) sailed 33’ 7” = to win the TJ and Michelle Bittner (Bentonville Black) won the SP at 36’ 3.5”. Texarkana cruised to a couple of wins with a 143-100-81 win over Lake Hamil= ton and Bentonville in the 14-team Girls meet and by 144-98-86 over Lake Hamilt= on and Cabot in the 18-team Boys meet. Courtney Blair (Texarkana) led all scorers with 39 points including = wins in the 100m and 200m, legs on the winning 4x1 and 4x4 relays, 2^{nd in

Mountaineer Invite, Rogers, 4/11/08 …. Another Rogers tradition c= ame to a close as the last Mountaineer Invite was held at Gates Stadium which becomes the home of Rogers Heritage next season. Rogers Girls held a narrow 123-118= .5 lead over 7A-W rival Fayetteville going into the 200m. The Lady Bulldogs piled up a 13-3 = win in the 200m to take the lead at 131.5-126 but Rogers countered with a 12-0 shu= tout in the 3200m to regain the lead at 138-131.5 setting up a showdown in the f= inal event. Fayetteville could only manage a 6^th place to set the fin= al Lady Mounties margin at 138-134.5 as Ft Smith Southside took 3^rd= at 111. Rogers Boys entered a sp= lit squad with Blue and White and came up a bit short as a strong Alma team survived the aroma of the chicken plant across the street to take a 151-149= -136 win over Rogers Blue and Fayetteville and Southside who tied.   Rogers trailed 128-111 with = three events remaining but took the lead 129-128 with an 18 point performance in = the 3200m.
