Arkansas Results

 

Bentonville Boys paced the Arkansas teams at the Southern Stampede with a 2nd place overall finish in the 52-team meet while Rogers Girls took 7th in the 39-team Girls meet. Rogers Boys won the 18-team Boys JV meet while Rogers Girls led the Arkansas teams at 6th.   The unofficial meet results scoring just Arkansas teams ended up with Bentonville Boys winning 60-67-81-84 over Fayetteville, Rogers Heritage and Rogers. The Mounties were without there normal lead runner who could not finish due to an injury.  In the Arkansas Girls meet, Bentonville narrowly won by 48-50-70-70 over Rogers, Fayetteville and Rogers Heritage.

In individual races, the Arkansas Girls showed off with 9 under 20 minutes in a race featuring 36 under 20.  SR Grace Heymsfield (Elkins) took 2nd overall in a strong 18:45 and FR Maggie Montoya (Rogers) was close behind in 3rd at 18:53.  Top Arkansas Girls were:

Arkansas Boys were led by SR Austin Simpkins (Fayetteville) in 10th at 16:21 just ahead of SO Will Aenchbacher (Bentonville) in 11th at 16:27. Top Arkansas Boys were:

In the JV races, Arkansas Boys took 1-2-3 with JR John Doss (Rogers, 17:39), SO Michael Haynie (Bentonville, 17:48) and SR Fabian Gonzalez (Rogers, 17:55) leading the way. JR Ashley Randels (Rogers, 21:57) was the top Arkansas Girl finishing 14th.
