Arkansas HS All-Time Track and Field Best Performances
March 11, 2007 Updates Girls Boys August 31, 2002 Updates
The All-Time Best Performances listings were started by Coach Bobby Richardson of Crossett and continued by Coach Carlton Efurd of Rogers. ArkansasTrackStats.com became responsible for the maintenance and updating of the listings effective January 1, 2001. Additions to the listings are made based on publication in a newspaper or similar report of meet results or official meet results. These listings are "best performances" and may not coincide state or classification records since those records are established in accordance with rules of the Arkansas Activities Association. To be included here, performances must be made as part of a senior high school team , while representing a senior high school in a recognized meet or in officially sanctioned meets. The meet does not have to be held in the state of Arkansas. Performances are ranked first by the mark (distance or time depending upon the event) and then by earliest date. Where known, manual times are converted to fully automatic times by adding .24 seconds to the manual time for races of 400m and shorter. Likewise, times for English distances are converted to corresponding metric distance times using established methods. Indoor marks are indicated with a (I) to the right of the name except that all marks for the 55m dash and the 55m hurdles are for indoor. A petition to add or correct a mark should be accompanied by as much detail information as possible to allow for research of records (name, school, date, mark, location, etc.). Preferably a clipping from a newspaper or copy of other official record should accompany the petition. Listings are intended to be updated at the conclusion of each season. The intention is to limit the listings to the best 100 performances. An athlete's or relay team's best performance for a season (indoor is a separate season from outdoor) is eligible for being listed.
